In follow up to the Prastuti, we had our annual technical summit hosted in a large and grand manner, as always in September. Our guests of honor included Rahul Vishwaroop, Sr. Engineering Manager from Adobe and Nitin Mukhija, Director of Test, PayU. Nitin started off with a keynote on Automation Testing Best Practices, which was a good technical start to our day of events. This was followed by several thought provoking technical sessions including smart device testing, an adaptive automation framework, cultural dimensions of linguistic testing, an automated framework to accessibility testing, role of QA in devops , using fiddler to strengthen a tester’s toolkit, big data testing.
In addition to the above topics in the competitive round, we also had a panel discussion with our guests of honor and our founder and CEO Mukesh Sharma. The focus of this panel was “Where are we heading in the world of QA”. The common message that came out of this discussion, was the increasing need for automation, the need to step up and do things differently, the need to innovate and experience ongoing continuous improvement. All disciplines continue to evolve and so is software testing. Forums such as these, helps us reiterate the need for such change and to discuss the latest and greatest in the industry to help our engineers have an edge and contribute the same back to the industry through the products we test. Qualloquium and Prastuti 2 served exactly these purposes and was a huge hit amidst the audience and the guests of honor.
