Mohali, PUNJAB, INDIA: Software quality assurance and testing company QA InfoTech plans to set up a testing center in Mohali. The company offers quality-testing services to companies across various verticals. It also has an office in Farmington, Michigan, USA. This will be the fourth software quality assurance and software testing center for the company in India.
While software developers are making a beeline for Chandigarh and Mohali, QA Infotech would be the only software quality assurance and testing company to set its foot in the region. Mr. Mukesh Sharma, CEO, QA InfoTech said that the company is hugely focusing on India as the destination for software testing. He emphasized that outsourcing the software testing and quality assurance activities by companies helps them to maximize revenues and reduce cost. “The software testing market is currently at a nascent stage and is evolving. With an estimated 70 per cent of the global market of software products-testing in India worth $8 billion in 2007-08 the players have a bright future. We want to make India a major hub for software testing both for off-shore and onsite locations, which is an emerging vertical in the IT industry,” Mr. Sharma said.
The firm has four strategic business units: Software Testing, Consulting Services, Training Services and QA Placement Consulting. The CEO of the company is pinning high hopes from this area and expects huge revenue growth. “The company’s business grew at about 150 per cent in the previous fiscal and is poised to double its business turnover in the next financial year. Currently, QA InfoTech exports mainly to the USA,” Mr. Sharma added. The Mohali center is also deemed to provide Training and Certification Services. The project will be completed in two phases. In phase one, compatibility testing lab and performance testing labs would be set up. In phase two, automation tools lab will be set up in which QA InfoTech plans to tie-up with players like IBM, Mercury Interactive and Seque.
